What do we expect?

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the field of Mechanical a/o Electrical Engineering, preferably with project management certifications such as; PMA-C or PMP
  • Minimum of 5 to a maximum of 10 years of related experience as a Project Manager in capital goods (machines and installations)
  • Agility, self-reflection, responsibility, drive, team-player
  • Willing to travel and work abroad if necessary for approx. 25 of your time

Working as a Project Manager at AWL means working in a dynamic, competitive, international environment with high-end production solutions and demanding customers. As a Project Manager, you are part of an enthusiastic global team and a peer group of approximately 20 project management professionals worldwide.  

Responsibilities:

  • The management of multiple projects (2 to 4) simultaneously (scope from 1 to 10 Million USD each), from project kick-off to final acceptance and everything in between!  
  • Make it happen, get it done! 
  • Exchange with, inform and report to internal and external stakeholders; 
  • Manage the customers, expectations, volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and the contract; 
  • Anticipate on and solve issues, seek and find the assistance you need from your professional colleagues and you will get consequentially;  
  • Evaluate and learn, develop yourself and your stakeholders.

This will be your day

8:00 Review project status with team during assembly phase on the shop floor
10:00 Lead Engineering meetings with internal team or customer
13:00 Coordinate internal activities and review task lists
15:00 Discuss upcoming challenges with customer and create change order calculations
16:45 Review task list and review activities for next day/week
