We are seeking a driven and technically strong Manufacturing Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and support operational excellence across our production environments.

What Will Be Your Role?

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean principles, troubleshoot production challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both U.S. and Netherlands-based teams.

What Do We Expect From You?

Core Responsibilities

Process Development & Optimization

  • Set up new production processes and analyze existing workflows to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing performance

Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

  • Apply lean principles to eliminate waste, optimize workflows, and remove bottlenecks
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma and Kaizen

Production Layout & Workflow Design

  • Develop production and assembly layouts to optimize material flow and operational efficiency

Quality & Reliability

  • Partner with quality teams to establish and maintain standards ensuring product consistency and reliability
  • Support development of robust manufacturing processes aligned with quality requirements

Production Troubleshooting

  • Identify and resolve production issues including equipment malfunctions, material challenges, and process deviations

Product Design Collaboration

  • Work closely with product design and development teams to ensure manufacturability and cost efficiency

Cost Analysis & Efficiency

  • Analyze production costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining product quality

Equipment & Tooling

  • Support the design, evaluation, and selection of manufacturing equipment and tooling
  • Collaborate with vendors to source and implement new equipment

DfX & FMEA

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Design for Excellence (DfX) processes
  • Lead and support Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities

Documentation

  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and process flows

Hands-On Production Support

  • Support production activities and training, particularly during startup and ramp-up phases

Cross-Functional & Cross-Cultural Collaboration

  • Collaborate effectively with U.S.- and Netherlands-based teams
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure alignment

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred); relevant experience also considered
  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering and process optimization
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience working in production or industrial environments

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in CAD and manufacturing software
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards
  • Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
