Within our Business Unit Intralogistics, we are working on taking warehouse and distribution center automation to the next level. We do this by deploying automated robots and vision technology, making logistics processes faster, smarter, and more efficient.

For our Business Unit, we are looking for someone who ensures the correct technical documentation for our projects. Are you the one who can perfectly translate our machine specifications into clear descriptions for users? Then we are looking for you!

In this role, you are the central point of a project regarding documentation. You ensure that our customers receive the right information about all aspects of our machines, using illustrations and written text in the machine manual. You are responsible for delivering the technical manuals. No two machines are the same, and therefore neither are the manuals. This makes your work versatile and challenging, as you closely collaborate with almost all disciplines within the project to gather the necessary information.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Creating the overall description of the machine;
  • Requesting the necessary information within the organization and our international branches;
  • Drafting maintenance instructions;
  • Creating operating instructions for the machine;
  • Developing machine safety instructions.

This will be your day

8:00 You start the week full of enthusiasm. After a coffee with colleagues, you get to work. You begin by checking your email and reviewing the planning to see which project has been assigned to you. Then you go through customer specifications to check for specific requirements.
10:00 You dive back into your project and carefully review the 3D models of the project. You also study the functional specifications so you can start working on the manual.
13:00 After lunch and a walk outside with colleagues, you continue working on the manual. A meeting is scheduled with a Project Manager to go through the project specifications with you.
15:00 You are in contact with colleagues from different engineering disciplines to gather technical input and process it into the manual. For the manual, it is important to include photo documentation. You have an appointment on the shop floor to take photos. After taking the photos, you immediately collect a manual that was delivered with a machine so you can start reviewing it the next day.
16:30 Time flies! It’s already 16:30. You wrap up your day and shut down your laptop. You go home with a satisfied feeling.
