Legal Counsel at AWL
As Legal Counsel at AWL, you will be at the centre of an organisation that operates as a leading global (robotic) systems integrator in the automotive, metal processing and logistics industries. A dynamic, international and high-tech environment in which innovation plays an important role. As legal counsel at AWL, you contribute to the company’s success, for example by identifying risks and suggesting practical solutions. Not a day is the same
As legal counsel at AWL, no day is ever the same. The modern office building invites you to drop in on each other, which is exactly what happens. As a result, you have a lot of contact with all kinds of people in the organisation and get to know all kinds of things. You look at a sales contract, assess an NDA, hold discussions and negotiations, think about ways to use legal instruments to respond to market developments, meanwhile taking a stroll through the AWL experience centre, the day flies by. In this role, you report to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities
The most important responsibilities are:

  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and maintaining commercial contracts with our customers, suppliers and other partners;
  • Advising board and management;
  • Creating and maintaining legal awareness;
  • Maintaining and advising on ‘corporate housekeeping’;
  • Drafting and updating procedures according to laws and regulations;
  • Maintaining external contacts with lawyers and legal experts;
  • Monitoring legal deadlines and providing support in all possible areas;
  • Provide legal training for our colleagues.

Your profile
We are looking for a lawyer with a completed university-level education and several years of work experience, preferably in commercial law or as a lawyer in an international, complex, and dynamic company.

  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages in word and writing is necessary. It is an advantage if you are also fluent in German;
  • You are confident, eager to learn and able to master new things quickly;
  • You are willing to travel occasionally (internationally) for work;
  • You are available for a minimum of 32 hours a week at our beautiful sustainable headquarters in Harderwijk, with partial working from home a possibility.
