As a Supply Chain Engineer, you play a central and versatile role within our organisation. You are responsible for the logistics process of parts, from procurement to production, and ensure that these are available on time and within budget to make projects run smoothly.

You will be closely involved from the engineering phase onwards, allowing you to think about the supply chain at an early stage. You continuously monitor the progress of the procurement process and work to ensure the smooth and effective handling of any quality issues. You will also ensure proper coordination with the project coordinator and other departments, such as mechanical and hardware engineers, as well as our other sites.

An important part of your role involves monitoring delivery times, accurately processing orders in our ERP system and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. By switching quickly and steering cost-conscious processes, you will contribute to the timely and successful completion of projects, without delays due to quality issues.

This will be your day

8:00 You start the day by setting your schedule. Here you have complete freedom with an eye on the right priorities
10:00 After working on the preparation of a project, you get a call from the assembly line asking for an urgent part. You discuss with Engineering what the best option is and call the supplier to make it happen.
13:00 You have a project start-up meeting, here you show when parts will be delivered and whether everything will be on time. You discuss critical parts or delivery dates and make sure all project members are fully informed.
15:00 You speak to the project manager about the delivery time of a part. Unfortunately, this turns out to be too long and another supplier has to be sourced. Quickly you get to work to make this possible.
16:30 Time flies! You go home feeling satisfied.
