Do you possess the analytical, technical, and persuasive skills to translate inquiries into high-quality production solutions that benefit our clients? Join our team!

As a Proposal Engineer, you fulfill an essential role in the inquiry and sales phase. You will be involved in the development of technical production solutions for our Automotive Seating clients. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will analyze customer needs and translate inquiries into a concrete program of requirements and functional concept designs that are both technically and commercially attractive, taking into account cycle times, feasibility, and potential risks. Additionally, you will also perform the calculation of your concept. You will thus be versatile in roles as a Concept and Cost Engineer, bringing an added dimension of challenge to your position. As a Proposal Engineer at the forefront of the sales process, we consider it essential that you possess a strong sense of ownership, creative skills, and both commercial and technical insight. Together with the team, you will convince customers of our added value!

This will be your day

8:00 You open your laptop. With a good cup of coffee, you begin analyzing the incoming customer request. You focus on the technical aspect of the request to translate it into a concept design and calculation.
11:00 To express your creativity and initial ideas, you continue the day with a brainstorming session aimed at developing various solutions. You work on substantiating your ideas using PowerPoint and SolidWorks. Depending on the project, you brainstorm independently or with your colleagues.
13:00 After the analysis and brainstorming session, it's time for a break. If you're at AWL, you can take a walk around the Veluwemeer or enjoy a great lunch at our company restaurant.
15:00 You've come up with a fantastic concept, but there's still missing information. You've scheduled a session with your sales and engineering colleagues to discuss specific details regarding cycle times and potential risks.
16:30 The next day, you have a meeting scheduled with the client to present a series of elaborated requests. Together with your colleagues, you travel to the client's location and then, later in the evening, conclude your workday with a pleasant dinner with your colleagues and the client.
