What are you going to do?
As the Innovation Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of AWL by leading the creation and execution of the R&D roadmap. You will work closely with business unit managers and R&D colleagues to ensure that the roadmap aligns with AWL’s strategic goals and priorities. Your multidisciplinary team of Development Engineers will work under your guidance to develop cutting-edge solutions that add strategic value to the organization.
You will manage a diverse range of projects, from machine concepts to advancements in hardware and software technologies. Your team’s focus will be on driving innovation across both physical systems and software applications, including the integration of robotics, vision systems, AI models, and intelligent interfaces for customer projects.
As the Innovation Leader, you will also serve as the Product Owner for your team, guiding the development process and aligning product vision with stakeholder needs. You will operate in an agile environment (Scrum), overseeing sprint planning, refinements, demos, and retrospectives to foster collaboration and continuous improvement. However, your primary focus will be on providing strategic direction rather than day-to-day task management.
Additionally, you will maintain close communication with stakeholders, both internally (such as business units, engineering teams) and externally (such as customers and industry partners), ensuring that the development efforts are aligned with broader business objectives.
