What do we expect?

  • A completed MBO/HBO education, preferably in logistics or export;
  • Several years of experience in export logistics, including knowledge of customs and transport documents;
  • Good communication skills in Dutch and English (written and oral);
  • An eye for process improvement and the drive to work more efficiently;
  • A heftruck certificate (T4 or T8) is a plus.

As an Export Employee at AWL, you will ensure a smooth flow of goods in cooperation with external parties. Together with the Project Coordinator you coordinate the requirements and planning for the transport of our machines that are delivered internationally to our customers. In doing so, you ensure the correct (customs and shipping) documents and correct administrative processing (pro forma invoice, CMR, etc.). In addition, you make an active contribution to preparing our machines for transport.

Your responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and notifying shipments, both packages and large machine transports.
  • Loading and unloading goods, including the use of a forklift truck.
  • Contributing to process optimisation within the department.
  • Administrative tasks such as preparing documentation and processing shipments.

This will be your day

7:30 You start your day with a cup of coffee and a quick schedule. You check your e-mail and start packing and registering the first shipments.
10:30 An air freight shipment needs to go out today. You prepare the proforma invoice and request the necessary customs documents.
13:00 After lunch, you complete some smaller courier shipments and print the day's manifest.
16:15 The day has flown by! You clean up your workplace and make sure everything is ready for tomorrow.

Your tasks:

50% Packing and notification of shipments and packages.
30% Administration, documentation and e-mail management.
15% Loading shipments and assisting with machine transports.
5% Requesting quotes and advising on transport options.
