What do we expect?

  • A Bachelor Degree in a technical area such as Electrical Engineering, System & Control, Industrial Engineering, or a proven comparable knowledge and level
  • >4 years of working experience in a similar position/ the field of Mechatronics/Robotics, ideally within the industrial automation
  • Preferably knowledge of Robot Brands, such as ABB and Fanuc (Karel)
  • Knowledge of Controls Engineering (PLC programming, vision systems, sensors et cetera)
  • Willing to travel and work abroad

As a Robotics Engineer Material Handling, you will be part of our fast-growing multidisciplinary team that is focusing on product development, and system integration of high-tech logistics automation and material handling solutions. Whether it concerns data, productivity, ergonomics, or safety, we provide our customers input in every challenge, and you are part of that challenge!

Your main responsibility is to develop or translate the customers required functional specifications of the robot and peripheral equipment into concrete robot control programs, within the time frame and quality requirements. You are able to operate on various abstraction levels and design and implement small to large scope (volume production) projects.

In addition you:

  • Testing and simulating the products/systems on our shopfloor;
  • Identify needs for improvements;
  • Contact person for technical queries;
  • Execute preparatory tasks for the transfer/training of our customers, and provide training in the field of the robot installations;
  • Commissioning the machines by the customer worldwide;
  • Work closely with your colleagues from PLC Control, Simulation, and Production.

This will be your day

8:00 After a social chat with your colleagues and coffee, you start the day. You have the freedom to execute your work and will start with your own planning. You will determine the priorities for this week.
12:00 You dive back into your project, in which you are already in the final phase of the realization. Time to design the last part of the code and get it reviewed by your colleagues.
13:00 End of lunchtime. You've enjoyed a walk outside and a delicious sandwich of the week from our own company restaurant.
15:30 You know that you have an important meeting with a demanding client and colleagues from our facility in the USA in the evening. Together with your colleagues you prepare this steering group meeting where you, as a specialist in the field of robotics, share together knowledge and findings about the product/ project development;
16:30 Time flies! You are going to finalize the day and lock your laptop. Today is a long, but satisfied day. So tomorrow you will start working later. Flexibility is very important to us.
