We are looking for a Robot Welding engineer to strengthen our machine building team in Querétaro, Mexico.
AWL Automation is a start-up branch of AWL-Techniek in Harderwijk, The Netherlands, a leading global company in the manufacturing industry. We design and build production systems for the automotive and metalworking industries where automated (laser) welding machines play a vital role. AWL Automation established in Mexico in 2016. We have big international projects in Mexico for the upcoming years. We expect to grow with the automotive and metal processing industry to fulfill their needs for automated welding machines. We are building our team to shape the future.
What would be your role?                                                             
We build machines with a high degree of automation, particularly for the automotive industry.
Every day we work in a high-tech business with a wide variety of joining technologies
and their latest developments.
What are you going to do?
As Robot Welding engineer you will be responsible for optimization of the welding process using robots and welding equipment. You will assess the requirements formulated in the project specifications and the mechanical design for the robots with regard to the connections of the products to be manufactured. You will test whether all requirements from the project specifications are met.
Also you will do commissioning of machine on at the customer's site, and will be in close customer contact. In short: it's your job to ensure that the weld quality we promise to our customers up front will be realized in the field.
What do we expect from you?
It is important that you have a passion for welding! Nevertheless, we expect our new colleague also
broad interest for the entire process. You are also analytical, creative, solution oriented, not afraid to gain dirty hands, you can work under pressure and also independently as in the project team.
For being able to communicate with our customers and providing training, knowledge of the English language is essential. A bachelor degree is a must, preferably in Welding Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
