Wat neem je mee?

  • A Bachelor Degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or Mechanical Engineering
  • >2 years of working experience in a similar position/ the field of Mechatronics/Robotics
  • Preferably experience with diverse robot brands and/or simulation programs such as Process Simulate, Robcad, Roboguide en RobotStudio
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages. German is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel and work abroad if necessary

As a Robot / Simulation Engineer, you fulfill an all-round position within our Simulation & Robotics Engineering discipline! By using our simulation program (Process Simulate) you optimize the mechanical designs and test the feasibility and reachability of the projects. These can vary from modular to very customer-specific. You test the process flows and performs cycle time analyses. Subsequently, you know how to translate the design into concrete robot control designs, within the specified quality requirements and time schedule. You are responsible for:

  • Robot reachability study;
  • Cycle time analysis;
  • Offline programming;  
  • Troubleshooting;
  • Robot control design (developing code);
  • Developing test plans and work instructions;
  • A correct handover to the functional team.

8:00 After a cup of coffee and discussing the weekend, you get back to work! You have the freedom to execute your work and will start with your own planning. You will determine the priorities for this week.
10:00 You start with the simulation of a new project. You will load all the 3D model into the simulation software and start checking robot reachability and cycle time. At the end of the project you will execute the Off Line Programming.
13:00 After lunch break and a walk outside you dive back into your project were you are responsible for the robot code. Time to write the last part of the code and get it reviewed by your colleagues.
15:00 You have a weekly project meeting. All the leads of the project team will share their status and what they need for the coming week.
16:15 Your colleagues are stuck in a project and ask for your expertise. You are naturally acting as an advisor and are already looking forward to fix this challenge together! Time flies! It is already 16:45pm! You are going to finalize the day and lock your laptop. With a satisfied feeling you go back to home.
